Main Conference Room, UIN News Online â€“ UIN Jakarta and IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen the foreign languages skills of the staffs, lecturers, and students. This cooperation also aimed to improve the conversion status of IAIN Imam Bonjol to UIN Imam Bonjol. The memorandum of cooperation is signed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA and the Rector of IAIN Imam Bonjol Dr Eka Putra Wirwan in the Main Conference room of UIN Jakarta, Monday, (10/10).
This event was attended by the Head of Academic Administration and Cooperation (BAAKK) Drs. H. Zaenal Arifin, M.Pd.I, and the head of Head of Language Development (PPB) UIN Jakarta Siti Nurul Azkiyah, M.Sc, Ph.D. Also present the Vice Rector of Academics Affairs Dr Ikhwan, Vice Rector of Students Affair Dr Alkhendra, the Head of Cooperation and Institution Division Dr Syafaruddin and the Head of Language Development (PBB) IAIN Imam Bonjol Dr Asrin.
On his remarks, Dede appreciated the cooperation and he also expected that this cooperation could facilitate the development of foreign languages skills to the students and Civitas academica so they will have a greater value for the society.
â€œI welcomed this cooperation opportunity between UIN Jakarta and IAIN Imam Bonjol , especially in the field of a foreign languages development program.â€ Said Dede.
On the same occasion, the Rector of IAIN Imam Bonjol Dr Eka Putra Wirwan hoped that the cooperation could help IAIN Imam Bonjol to transform its status from IAIN to UIN Imam Bonjol.
â€œUIN Jakarta is a barometer of the State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) throughout Indonesia, so this cooperation is absolutely indispensable.â€ He said.
According to Eka Putra Wirwan, IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang is currently in the middle of the conversion process, from IAIN into UIN. The process has now reached the final stage and waiting for the President’s decision. The conversion plan will be conducted on October 22th, 2016 to coincide with the National Santri Day or on November 29th 2016, to coincide with the anniversary of IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang.
