Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis inaugurates Ali Munhanif and Amelia Fauzia as new professors, Tuesday (01/06/2021) at Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta. The inauguration ceremony was carried out online through zoom application by following strict health protocol.
Rector in her remarks congratulated the two newly appointed professors. “I hope the newly appointed professors can carry out their duties as well as possible. A professor is expexted to t protect and provide solutions to problems that arise in society through their respective knlowledge,” said Rector Amany.
She aslo added that that the inauguration of the two professors in the fields of political science and the philanthropy could raise the optimism of UIN Jakarta in making major contribution to the scientific development of the two fields of science. “The presence of the two professors is expected to become a magnet for UIN Jakarta in developing political science and philanthropy,” she added.
Rector also expressed her gratitude for the dedication of the newly appointed professors in developing the faculties and institutions they lead. It is known that Professor Ali is the Dean of FISIP, while Professor Amelia in addition to leading the Islamic History and Civilization Master program of FAH UIN Jakarta, she also serve as the Director of the Social Trust Fund (STF) of UIN Jakarta.
“Professor Ali dedicated himself in advancing the FISIP UIN Jakarta and encouraging its internationalization, while Professor Amelia, through STF UIN Jakarta, plays an active role in dealing with the impact of Covid 19 in the form of logistical assistance, health assistance and scholarships,” said Amany.
On the same occasion, the chairman of the University Senate Abuddin Nata and Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs Nizar Ali hopes that both of them can strengthen UIN Jakarta towards a world-class university. “With the inauguration of these two professors, it is hoped that it can strengthen the availability of human resources for the development of UIN Jakarta as a world-class university,” said Abudin.
Meanwhile, Nizar said that the presence of new professors was expected to strengthen the role of scientific, Islamic and national development of UIN Jakarta in the future. “With the excellence of its human resources, I am very confident that UIN Jakarta can continue to accomplish various achievements,” said Nizar (usa/zm)
