UIN Jakarta's Master's Program in Psychology Undergoes Accreditation Site Assessment to Strengthen Academic Quality
Jakarta, UIN Online News — The Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed an assessment team from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the site assessment of its Master's Program in Psychology. Conducted from Monday to Wednesday (9–11 March 2026), the assessment forms part of BAN-PT's external quality assurance process to evaluate the program's academic standards, governance, and overall educational quality.
The assessment was officially opened by Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D. Also in attendance were Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., Vice Rector for General Administration Prof. Imam Subchi, M.A., Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., and Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Prof. Khamami Zada, S.H., M.A., together with members of the quality assurance team.
The event was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Psychology Dr. Yunita Faela Nisa, M.Psi., Psychologist, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Yufi Adriani, M.Psi., Ph.D., Psychologist, Vice Dean for General Administration Mulia Sari Dewi, M.Si., Psychologist, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships Prof. Rena Latifa, M.Psi., Psychologist, Head of Administration Feni Arifiani, S.Ag., M.H., BAN-PT assessors Prof. Seger Handoyo, M.Si., Psychologist, and Cleoputri Al Yusainy, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., as well as faculty members and administrative staff.
In his opening remarks, Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar emphasized that the site assessment is an integral component of maintaining and enhancing the quality of higher education.
"This site assessment is expected to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the Master's Program in Psychology while serving as a strategic step toward strengthening academic quality within the Faculty of Psychology," he said.
He noted that accreditation should not be viewed merely as an administrative requirement, but as an important opportunity to reinforce the university's commitment to excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
Meanwhile, Dean Dr. Yunita Faela Nisa stated that the Faculty of Psychology had made thorough preparations by compiling the required documentation and ensuring full academic support throughout the accreditation process.
"Our entire academic community has worked diligently to prepare the necessary documents and academic evidence for this assessment. We hope the process proceeds smoothly and yields the best possible outcome for the Master's Program in Psychology at UIN Jakarta," she said.
Throughout the assessment, the BAN-PT evaluation team conducted a series of activities, including verification of accreditation documents, interviews with university stakeholders, and inspections of academic facilities supporting teaching and learning within the Master's Program in Psychology.
The site assessment is expected to provide a comprehensive picture of the program's academic quality while further strengthening its position as a leading graduate program capable of contributing to the advancement of psychology at both the national and international levels.
