UIN Jakarta Presents First Quarter 2025 Performance Report

Rectorate Building, UIN Online NewsThe leadership of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta (UIN Jakarta) presented the university’s First Quarter 2025 performance report to the University Supervisory Board on Friday (April 25, 2025). Throughout this period, the university recorded a range of academic and non-academic achievements.

In his presentation, UIN Jakarta Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., stated that UIN Jakarta continues to work hard to realize various academic and non-academic targets.
"Thanks to the collaborative spirit among units across the university, UIN Jakarta has successfully achieved several important milestones," he said.

On the academic front, achievements include increased scientific publications, improved study program accreditations, the addition of new programs, and more.

In terms of publications, UIN Jakarta successfully registered four Scopus-indexed journals: Jurnal Ahkam, Studia Islamika, Journal of Psychological and Educational Measurement in Indonesia, and Valency Chemistry Journal.

Moreover, the number of journals accredited under SINTA 1 and SINTA 2 continues to rise, with at least five journals accredited at SINTA 1 level and fourteen at SINTA 2.
"UIN Jakarta continues to encourage the growth of both Scopus-indexed and SINTA-accredited journals," he explained.

Regarding study programs and accreditations, UIN Jakarta launched a new Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences under the Faculty of Health Sciences. In the first quarter of 2025, the university also proposed the establishment of three new doctoral programs: the Doctoral Program in Communication and Islamic Broadcasting, the Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies, and the Doctoral Program in Islamic Civilization History.

In accreditation achievements, UIN Jakarta recorded 49 study programs (undergraduate to doctoral) accredited as Excellent/A, representing 56.3 percent of the university’s total 87 programs.

On the non-academic side, UIN Jakarta has strengthened its internet infrastructure as part of its commitment to digitalization. This includes the installation of 654 additional Wi-Fi Access Points across 13 faculty buildings to achieve zero internet blank spots across campus.

Furthermore, UIN Jakarta expanded its storage and computing center with the addition of two servers using Hyperconverged Infrastructure technology. Cybersecurity enhancements were also made through the installation of Firewall security appliances on the university’s internet network.

Throughout the first quarter of 2025, UIN Jakarta has continued to improve the quality of its lecturers and administrative staff, recognizing them as vital assets for academic and institutional development. In terms of human resources, UIN Jakarta achieved national recognition, becoming the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ university with the highest number of research and community service reviewers — totaling 43 lecturer-researchers.

Demonstrating its commitment to the green campus movement, UIN Jakarta established the Center for Green Campus Development, aiming to strengthen its contributions to environmental sustainability initiatives.

To support the financing needs of its academic development programs, UIN Jakarta has also optimized key assets to generate revenue, boosting the performance of non-tuition business units such as hospital services, logistics, and hospitality services. This includes the revitalization of Syahida Inn and the development of ADIA Suites.

During the session, the UIN Jakarta Supervisory Board expressed its appreciation for the university’s achievements. However, the Board also emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in university governance.
