Scouts from Jakarta, Banten, and West Java Join UIN Jakarta’s 36th Anniversary

Ciputat, UIN Online News — The Scout Unit of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta successfully held the “Giat Prestasi” to commemorate its 36th anniversary on Tuesday (25/10/2025). The two-day event brought together participants from the three provinces of Jakarta, Banten, and West Java as a platform for young Scouts to showcase their talents, creativity, and solidarity through various competitions.

The event attracted wide participation, with 63 bases with 64 scouts and 74 rovers competing in multiple categories. Attending the event, UIN Jakarta’s Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., delivered an inspiring message to all participants, encouraging them to embody the spirit of dedication and teamwork that defines the Scout movement.

The Chairperson of the organizing committee, Khaeruman Aziz Firmansyah, explained that the purpose of the event is to provide a creative and competitive space for Scouts to develop their potential.

“The aim of this event is to facilitate our younger scouts to express their creativity and talents through the competitions in the Giat Prestasi 2025,” he explained.

One participant, Faiz, shared his impression of the event, noting that the Giat Prestasi opened his perspective on how the Scouts’ competitions were not only celebratory but also a demonstration of real skills and discipline among participants.

The event concluded with a symbolic award ceremony recognizing the best-performing teams. The overall champion in the scout category is SMAN 13 Tangerang, while the rover category is MTsN 1 Lebak.

Through the Giat Prestasi 2025, UIN Jakarta’s Scouts reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing creativity, leadership, and solidarity among young Indonesians in the spirit of scouts.
