Officially Opened, UIN Jakarta Launches KJMU Scholarship Programs

Student Affairs Building, UIN Online News — Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta conducted the launch event for the 2025 Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) scholarship registration for students of UIN Jakarta at the Student Affairs Building on Wednesday (17/09/2025).

The KJMU program is one of the main initiatives by the Jakarta Provincial Government designed to assist students from economically disadvantaged families at UIN Jakarta, specifically regarding the registration process outlined below:

  1. KJMU Launching (September 17)
  2. Registration phase (September 18-22)
  3. First step verification by the Student Affairs and alumni's internal team (September 18-29)
  4. Second step verification by the Department of Education (30 September-6 October)
  5. Announcement (October 7-16)

Prof. Asep Saepuddin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., the Rector of UIN Jakarta, expressed optimism about the continued increase in KJMU scholarship recipients and offered his appreciation and gratitude to the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office for the trust bestowed upon UIN Jakarta.

"We extend our profound appreciation and gratitude to the Jakarta Provincial Education Office for the trust bestowed upon UIN Jakarta," he expressed.

He expressed his expectation that recipients of the KJMU scholarship will engage in thorough study, collaborate, and contribute to DKI in relation to development and environmental matters, and persist in their efforts for DKI and its vicinity.

"I believe that the recipients of the KJMU Scholarship will make the best use of this grant during their study to help Jakarta develop in environmental matters and economic initiatives and will continue to contribute to its surrounding regions," he hoped.

Dr. Hj. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc., M.Pd., the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, affirmed that UIN Jakarta is actively engaged in the KJMU program to ensure equitable access to education.

"UIN Jakarta has always been engaging in this program by ensuring equitable access to education," she asserted.

He further stated that the 2025 KJMU program has demonstrated efficacy in attracting high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds, and UIN Jakarta is dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of mentoring these students.

"The KJMU 2025 program has demonstrated efficacy in attracting high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds, and we are dedicated to perpetually enhancing socialization and mentoring for these students," he stated.
