FSH UIN Jakarta Strengthens Accreditation Preparation for Four Academic Programs

FSH, UIN Online News — The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an Accreditation Document Preparation Workshop for four academic programs: the Undergraduate Programs in Constitutional Law, Islamic Economic Law, and Islamic Family Law, as well as the Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies. The workshop took place at Grand Whiz Poins Hotel from Monday to Wednesday (2–4 March 2026).

The event was attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, Dean of FSH Prof. Muhammad Maksum, keynote resource person Saepudin Nirwan, along with 81 participants comprising faculty leaders, heads of study programs, administrative staff, students, and alumni. Their broad participation was considered essential to ensure the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) was prepared comprehensively and accurately.

Opening the workshop, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie emphasized that accreditation is an opportunity to showcase the true quality of each academic program through credible and well-documented evidence.

"The accreditation team must present the best achievements of each study program. As one of Indonesia's leading universities, UIN Jakarta has numerous accomplishments that should be thoroughly reflected in the accreditation documents. No important data should be overlooked or left incomplete," he stated.

Dean of FSH Prof. Muhammad Maksum reaffirmed the faculty's commitment to maintaining academic quality through the national accreditation process conducted by BAN-PT.

"This workshop is a shared responsibility. We expect it to produce tangible outcomes that will significantly strengthen the preparation of our accreditation documents," he said.

To maximize productivity, participants were divided into six working groups under the direct supervision of resource person Saepudin Nirwan. The groups focused on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), Higher Education Database (PDDIKTI), Self-Evaluation Report (LED), Faculty and Administrative Staff Data & Surveys, Finance, and the review of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based Course Learning Plans (RPS).

Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the workshop also featured communal iftar dinners and Tarawih prayers. Evening religious talks (kultum) were delivered by Dr. M. Nurul Irfan on the first night and Dr. Syahrul A'dam on the second, fostering both academic collaboration and spiritual reflection.

The intensive three-day workshop concluded with presentations from each working group. Although several datasets still require refinement, the majority of the accreditation documents have been successfully drafted, marking significant progress toward the faculty's upcoming accreditation process.
