4 UIN Jakarta Lecturers Ascended into Professors, Officially Inaugurated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs

Jakarta, UIN Online News — Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta has once again marked a proud academic milestone by appointing four of its faculty members as professors through the Ministerial Decree of Religious Affairs (KMA). The decrees were personally presented by the Minister of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A., on Thursday (23/10/2025) at H.M. Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Jakarta.

The four faculty members received their title during the KMA presentation as part of the Ministry’s Non‑Optimized Phase II PPPK (Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja) appointment. Symbolically, four new UIN Jakarta professors received their decrees directly.

1. Prof. Dr. Kholid Al Walid, M.Ag.

  1. Field: Tafsir and Qur’anic Studies, Faculty of Ushuluddin.
  2. Background: Ph.D. (Doctoral) from UIN Jakarta since 2008.
  3. Teaching: Islamic Creed and Philosophy
  4. Research & Publications:
    1. Perjalanan Jiwa Menuju Akhirat: Filsafat Eskatologi Mulla Sadra, Critical Thinking and Religious Moderation.
    2. Tasawuf Mulla Shadra.

2. Prof. Dr. Mahsusi, M.M.

  1. Field: Educational Management & Human Resource Development, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training
  2. Background: Ph.D. (Doctoral) from Universitas Persada Indonesia YAI since 2010.
  3. Teaching: Education Management
  4. Research & Publications:
    1. Achieving Excellence: The Role of Digital Transformation in Madrasah Management and Islamic Culture.
    2. Integrated Application‑Based Digital Learning Technology during the Pandemic.

3. Prof. Dr. Yakub, M.A.

  1. Field: Communication & Da'wa, Faculty of Da'wa and Communication Sciences.
  2. Background: Ph.D. (Doctoral) from UIN Jakarta since 2010.
  3. Teaching: Da'wa Management
  4. Research & Publications:

4. Prof. Dr. Mujar Ibnu Syarif, M.Ag.

  1. Field: Islamic Law, Faculty of Shariah and Law.
  2. Background: Ph.D. (Doctoral) from UIN Jakarta since 2005.
  3. Teaching: Law Governance
  4. Research & Publications:

    2. Fikih Siyasah.

The appointment of these four scholars as Professors not only elevates UIN Jakarta’s academic standing but also strengthens its capacity to produce researchers who blend traditional Islamic knowledge with modern interdisciplinary insights. The ceremony also underscores the Ministry’s commitment to fostering high‑quality, globally competitive religious scholarship in Indonesia with the best State Islamic University.
