UIN Jakarta to explore cooperation with UIM

Makassar, UIN News Online – In order to strengthen Institutional capacity and three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), UIN Jakarta and Universitas Islam Makassar (UIM) are seeking various collaboration opportunities.

The discussion about the collaborative opportunites plan was contained in the form of an MoU which was signed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta and Rector of UIM Andi Majdah M Zain on Saturday (01/08/2022) held at the Dr KH Muhyiddin Zain Auditorium, UIM, Makassar.

Rector Andi Majdah in her remarks said that instead of competition, we are at the beginning of an era based on collaboration, this is great for sharing and combining ideas in order to advance the two institutions for the benefit of nation’s future generation

In response, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis welcomed the collaboration initiated by the two institutions.  He hopes that UIN Jakarta and UIM will become strategic partners in the development of the three pillars of higher education.

“Hopefully this collaboration can provide benefits for both parties,” said Rector.

Amany also added, apart from the three pillars of higher education, UIN Jakarta and UIM will also collaborate in implementing Merdeka Learning Program at the Merdeka Campus (MBKM).

“UIN Jakarta has responded positively to the MBKM policy issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. This program is also a framework to produce human resources that are adaptive to the needs, demands, and trends that occur in the real world,” said Rector Amany.

In addition to signing the MoU with UIM, Rector Amany also had the opportunity to deliver public lecture which was attended by campus officials, lecturers, and students. (usa)
