UIN Jakarta Prepares the Management of the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship

RSU, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is currently preparing the management of the collaboration scholarship between the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and the LPDP of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). According to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs UIN Jakarta, Zulkifli, UIN Jakarta is one of the target universities for the scholarship program titled Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship or BIB.

This was said by Zulkifli at the coordination meeting of the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship  in the main meeting room, campus I of UIN Jakarta on  Tuesday (11/08/2022). “This scholarship is intended for master and doctoral level students,” said Zulkifli.

This scholarship program is planned to cover 85 scholarship awardees consisting of 20 masters students at the Faculty of Ushuluddin, 20 masters students from at Faculty of Adab and Humanities, 20 Masters students and 25 doctoral students of the Islamic Studies Program at Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Jakarta.

It is known, the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship (BIB) is a joint scholarship program between with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Finance's LPDP for selected applicants.

Referring to Ministry of Religious Affairs website on (8/9/2022), the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religion, Nizar revealed, the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship is a joint ptogram between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the LPDP is intended for educators, education staff, students, and stakeholders within the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“This program is expected to assist Indonesia in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0,” said Nizar.

Regarding its own management, a number of leaders made suggestions for the implementation of the scholarships. One of them is the Dean of the Ushuluddin Faculty UIN Jakarta, Yusuf Rahman, for example, proposed academic enrichment for scholarship awardees. (zm/usa)
