UIN Jakarta Holds the 126th Graduation Ceremony

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis inaugurate 1800 graduates at the 126th graduation ceremony titled “Integrasi Ilmu sebagai Dasar Epistemologis Peradaban Islam Modern di Indonesia” on Friday-Saturday (November 25-26,2022) at the Main Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

Rector in her speech  congratulate and appreciates the new graduates who have successfully completed their study period at UIN Jakarta, both from the undergraduate and master programs as well as doctoral programs.

“UIN Jakarta always supports its graduates to play an active role in various situation through social service and research activities that will develop national welfare. Hopefully the knowledge you get during your study period can become a valuable asset in the midst for the society,” she said.

Rector Amany also emphasized UIN Jakarta's commitment to implementing the integration of science in various three dharma programs.

According to Rector, the integration of science is needed in line with the increasingly complex challenges of universities in realizing their tridharma responsibilities. Campus must encourage the development of science through community research while at the same time increasing the involvement of campus community members in social service.

Integration of knowledge at UIN Jakarta, she continued, has been carried out through institutional transformation and the development of various fields of knowledge within the university. As a result, apart from enriching scientific studies, this transformation has produced UIN Jakarta graduates who work in various professional lines.

In addition, Amany also expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs since it was led by Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Minister Fachrul Rozi to Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. According to Rector Amany, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs under the leadership of these three ministers has been very strong in supporting the development of UIN Jakarta.

“We also hope that the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Nadiem Anwar Makarim can provide his support in realizing the role of UIN Jakarta with the Integration of Science as the Epistemological Basis of Modern Islamic Civilization in Indonesia,” said Amany.

Meanwhile, Minister of Religion Gus Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in his welcoming speech represented by the Head of the Confucian Guidance and Education Center, Susari, expressed his appreciation for the role of UIN Jakarta. According to Susari, the graduation ceremony which was held for the 126th time proved UIN's dedication to the national and Islamic education in the country.

“Thousands of UIN Jakarta graduates have also taken a positive role as moderate, inclusive, and humanist intellectuals in their respective areas of service. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will support all forms of institutional and academic development of UIN Jakarta,” he said.

On the same occasion, 18 graduates are chosen as the best graduates based on their GPA (Grade Point Average).

May the success of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta alumni continue to uphold the goodwill of the alma mater and triumph throughout the world. (usa)
