UIN Jakarta Expose 2026 Showcases Study Paths and Scholarship Opportunities
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News—UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held its annual UIN Jakarta Expose 2026 under the theme “Discover Your Path: Be Part of UIN Jakarta.” The educational event, aimed at introducing prospective students to the university, took place at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Wednesday (February 11, 2026).
The event was attended by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D.; the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A.; faculty deans; the Executive Secretary of the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, S.Si., M.Kom.; the Head of Alumni Development Subdivision of LPDP, Tri Susilo; and participants of UIN Jakarta Expose 2026.
The program featured presentations on various admission pathways to UIN Jakarta, an inspirational talk show, and information sessions from several scholarship institutions. Exhibition booths were also set up by 12 faculties, the Graduate School, Student Activity Units (UKM), scholarship institutions, and the Ma’had Al-Jami’ah dormitory. The event was further enlivened by performances from student organizations.
During the scholarship presentation session, four institutions provided detailed information on their programs, requirements, and application procedures:
1. Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP)
The LPDP Scholarship is an educational funding program for Indonesian citizens pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees, both domestically and abroad. In 2026, LPDP offers various programs, including the Strategic Industry STEM Scholarship, SHARE Scholarship, co-funding (bundling) programs, double degree, joint degree, special partnership schemes, and non-degree programs.
The scholarship is open to applicants from the general track, civil servants (CPNS/PNS), and military and police (TNI/POLRI), as well as affirmative tracks for Papuan students, students from disadvantaged regions, underprivileged families, and persons with disabilities. LPDP provides two funding schemes: full funding and partial funding, allowing cost-sharing between LPDP and the awardee.
Funding components include tuition fees, registration fees, book allowances, thesis/dissertation research grants, international seminar support, and international journal publication assistance. Additional support covers transportation, visa, health insurance, monthly living allowance, family allowance (for doctoral students), and other related expenses.
2. Baznas Cendekia Scholarship (BCB)
The Baznas Cendekia Scholarship (BCB) is organized by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Indonesia. The program aims to expand access to higher education while nurturing competitive and high-achieving young generations.
BCB is intended for fifth-semester undergraduate students at BAZNAS partner universities. The primary beneficiaries are active students from underprivileged families who pass the administrative and interview selection stages.
The scholarship generally covers tuition assistance (UKT) for up to IDR 4 million and research costs. In addition to financial support, recipients participate in character development programs, including monthly mentoring, leadership training, character building, and community empowerment activities.
3. Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship (BIB)
The Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship (BIB) is designed for Indonesian citizens pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies, both domestically and internationally. The program includes partnership schemes and flagship programs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
BIB aims to enhance the quality of human resources, particularly in religious studies, education, and other strategic academic fields. Scholarship recipients receive educational funding support in accordance with the regulations of each scheme.
4. Social Trust Fund (STF)
The Social Trust Fund (STF) of UIN Jakarta is a humanitarian and social institution established in 2012 under UIN Jakarta. STF is committed to providing educational assistance to students with financial constraints through various scholarship programs.
From 2012 to 2026, STF has distributed IDR 2.9 billion in scholarships to 1,428 student beneficiaries. STF scholarships are intended for high-achieving undergraduate students at UIN Jakarta.
Scholarship types include the Achievement Scholarship, Humanitarian Scholarship, Remote Area Student Scholarship, Foster Parent Scholarship, Peace Scholarship, and thematic scholarships such as the Professor Azyumardi Azra Scholarship (PAAS), Professor Nabilah Lubis Scholarship (PNLS), and Professor Husni Rahim Scholarship (PHRS).
Beyond tuition support, recipients also receive capacity-building programs, including public speaking training, writing workshops, foreign language courses, entrepreneurship training, and volunteer engagement opportunities.
Through the presentations by the four scholarship institutions, prospective students were introduced to the wide range of financial aid opportunities available during their studies at UIN Jakarta. The session was expected to encourage them to begin preparing early and actively seek scholarship opportunities.
