UIN Jakarta Expose 2026 Draws Over 2,000 Students to Harun Nasution Auditorium
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News—The annual educational event Expose UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta 2026 was held once again under the theme “Discover Your Path: Be Part of UIN Jakarta.” Unlike last year, which took place at the Student Center, this year’s event was centered at the Harun Nasution Auditorium to accommodate the overwhelming enthusiasm of participants on Wednesday (February 11, 2026).
The event was officially opened by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A.; the Vice Rector for General Administration, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A.; the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D.; the Vice Rector for Cooperation, Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D.; as well as faculty deans and members of the academic community.
Also present were the Executive Secretary of the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, S.Si., M.Kom., and the Head of the Alumni Development Subdivision of LPDP, Tri Susilo.
In his remarks, Rector Prof. Asep emphasized the importance of higher education as a right for every child of the nation. He encouraged thousands of students not to be afraid to dream of going to university due to economic limitations.
“Education is a very important investment and is the right of all our children. Do not think that because you come from a family that cannot afford it, you cannot continue to higher education. Throw away that sentence. Strengthen our children’s hearts and open the doors for them,” the Rector stressed.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Information and Public Relations Center of UIN Jakarta, Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., stated in his report that this year’s Expose was the third implementation and recorded the highest participation so far.
“As of this morning, around 200 schools—including senior high schools, vocational schools, Islamic senior high schools, and Islamic boarding schools—have registered, with more than 2,000 participants filling the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The goal is clear: to provide information on admission pathways, introduce the strengths of each faculty, and explain access to scholarships,” he said.
Regarding national admission pathways, SNPMB Executive Secretary Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto delivered a technical explanation of SNBP and SNBT. He reminded students to understand quotas and strategies in choosing study programs.
“The SNBP pathway, or national selection based on achievement, is measured by report card grades and uploaded achievements, with a minimum quota of 20 percent. Meanwhile, SNBT is purely based on UTBK scores. It is important to note that for UIN Jakarta, which has BLU status, the SNBT quota can reach a maximum of 40 percent, providing a significant opportunity for prospective students,” Bekti explained.
In addition to the national admission presentation, the event included explanations of SPAN-PTKIN and UMPTKIN, as well as socialization of the Independent Admission Pathway (SPMB) Regular and Non-Regular delivered by Hj. Sri Ilham Lubis. The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, also provided additional academic insights about the university.
The excitement of the event grew with the presence of two inspiring influencers who are also UIN Jakarta alumni: Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim, an alumnus of the Faculty of Health Sciences who has succeeded as a young pharmacist, and Rian Fahardhi, an alumnus of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication who has built a career as a content creator. Their presence energized the students to dare to create and achieve.
Participants enthusiastically visited exhibition booths from 12 faculties and the Graduate School, as well as booths from Student Activity Units (UKM), scholarship institutions, and the UIN Jakarta dormitory Ma’had Al-Jami’ah. The event concluded with a musical performance by the student unit Ruang Inspirasi Atas Kegelisahan (RIAK), making Expose 2026 both informative and entertaining.
