UIN Jakarta Boosts Academic Quality with IDR 2.8 Billion Scholarship Allocation for Lecturers and Staff

Diorama Hall, UIN Online News — Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta held a tutoring class for recipients of the 2025 Educational Assistance Program at the Diorama Room on Monday (3/11/2025). The event marked the official distribution of educational aid to lecturers, educational staff, and university employees.

A total of 138 recipients benefited from the program, which provides financial support at three levels of study: IDR 10 million for undergraduate (S1) programs, IDR 15 million for master’s (S2) programs, and IDR 25 million for doctoral (S3) programs.

In his remarks, Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., conveyed that educational aid serves as a crucial foundation for enhancing both service quality and institutional reputation at UIN Jakarta. 

“I sincerely hope this financial assistance will be beneficial and help drive our university toward better management and stronger academic performance,” he expressed.

Echoing the rector’s message, Vice Rector for General Administration Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A., highlighted that 2025 marks a significant year for UIN Jakarta, with a record increase in scholarship disbursements.

“Based on our data, the total amount of scholarship assistance reached approximately IDR 500 million in 2022, decreased to about IDR 400 million in 2023, rose again to around IDR 500 million in 2024, and this year, in 2025, it has surged to approximately IDR 2.8 billion,” he stated.

Prof. Imam further argued that the increase demonstrates UIN Jakarta's commitment to strengthening human resource capacity.

“The scholarship allocation has risen to IDR 2.805 billion in 2025. It is safe to say that this increase reflects our commitment to enhancing the quality and capacity of human resources within UIN Jakarta,” he added.

Meanwhile, Srihidayati, M.Ag., a doctoral (S3) scholarship recipient, expressed her gratitude for the support, calling it both meaningful and motivating.

“I am deeply thankful to UIN Jakarta for this educational assistance. As a postgraduate student, this aid is useful leverage. It also motivates my pupils to complete their studies with determination,” she shared.
