UIN Jakarta and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Taiwan Agree to Collaborate
RSU, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Taiwan are agree to collaborate. The agreement was contained in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and Vice President of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Taiwan Shu-Wen Chang at the Main Meeting Room, campus I of UIN Jakarta on Monday (09/05/2022). The signing itself was carried out virtually by referring to health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Present in the event, Vice Rector for Cooperation Lily Surraya Eka Putri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Hari Hendarto, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Zilhadia, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Nashrul Hakiem, and Head of the Center for International Office Dadi Darmadi.
A number of officials from Taiwan's Far Eastern Memorial Hospital also witnessed the signing. Among them are Chief of International Medical Center Jolene Huang, Chief of Medical Education Pei-Chun Lin, and Chief of Medical Research Yen-Ling Chiu.
On that occasion, Chancellor Amany Lubis appreciated the collaboration with one of the best hospitals in Taiwan. “Hopefully this collaboration can be an important asset for scientific development at UIN Jakarta,” said Rector Amany.
Separately, Head of International Office of UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi revealed that the collaboration was successfully realized to encourage collaborative research of each party. The collaboration area itself covers the areas of language, culture, and modern technology by involving three faculties at UIN Jakarta, namely the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Taiwan is a hospital that has been accredited by the Taiwan government as a Medical Center in 2009 and 2013. No less than 106 divisions run the hospital health project. Among them are the Cardiovascular Division, Endocrinology and Metabolism Division, General Surgery Division, Obstetrics Division, Gynecology Division, Pediatric Gastroenterology Division, and other medical divisions.
In addition, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Taiwan is also actively involved in producing qualified medical personnel. This hospital also serve as the main teaching hospital for National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan University, and Fu Jen Catholic University, as well as medical students from other countries.
