STF UIN Jakarta Holds a Ramadan Study

Ciputat, UIN Online News - Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta held another online study series during the month of Ramadan on Monday (18/3/2024). Ramadan studies are conducted through the Zoom application at 15.30-16.30 WIB before the time of breaking the fast. The study is an annual program of STF that aims to worship socially by sharing knowledge.

In the Ramadan study, STF facilitates donors and volunteers to contribute in the form of ideas and energy that can benefit others. In addition to being a place for social almsgiving, the study is also a bonding event for donors, STF volunteers, and UIN Jakarta students.

One of the series of events is a study that carries the theme of Muslimah Character Building in the Disruption Era with Lecturer and Expert in the Field of Da'wah, Social, and Cultural Communication Dr. Rubiyanah M.A as the first speaker.

Also present at the event was one of the initiators of STF Prof. Amelia Fauzia M.A, Ph.D. In her speech she said that philanthropy is not only about giving but also contributing to volunteering in ideas and knowledge in encouraging to do good.

"Philanthropy is not only about giving but can also contribute to volunteering ideas and knowledge to encourage doing good," she said.

In the Ramadan study, Dr. Ruby opened the theme of the study which departed from the anxiety of changes in the attitude and character of Muslim women in the era of disruption. In her observation, she revealed that these changes were caused by the rapid development of digital activities, causing complexity and ambiguity in people's lives.

In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of Muslimah character building, namely those who have a leadership spirit, high social spirit, independent, adaptive, mentally and emotionally strong and still maintain faith and piety while developing in the disruption era which is full of challenges.

"In this era of disruption, Muslim women must have the spirit of a leader and even dare to be a leader. Muslim women must also be highly social, independent, adaptive, mentally and emotionally strong. But also maintain faith and devotion while proceeding in this challenging era," she said.
