SMAIT An Nur Bekasi's Visit to UIN Jakarta

The Diorama Room, UIN Online News - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received a student visit from SMA-IT An Nur Bekasi. Attended by 46 students from grade 10 and grade 11, and accompanied by 6 supervising teachers during the visit on Friday (29/02/2024).

SMAIT An Nur Bekasi students joined the campus visit activities that were well prepared by the UIN Jakarta Information Center and Public Relations team. This visit not only aims to get to know the campus environment more closely, but also to provide greater insight into the potential of Islamic higher education in Indonesia.

The warm welcome of the teacher representatives of SMAIT An Nur Bekasi underlined their great expectations, "we hope that our children can continue their education to a higher level. With close cooperation between these two educational institutions, it is hoped that related information can be well disseminated and help students in determining the next step in their education," he said.

Zaenal Muttaqin, Head of Information Center and Public Relations of UIN Jakarta, welcomed the guests with enthusiasm. 

In his speech, Zaenal explained that UIN Jakarta is working to increase the student quota, hoping to provide more opportunities for prospective students to study at this campus.

"We are currently proposing an additional quota to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to increase the number of students. Hopefully, there will be more space for students to enter," said Zaenal.

Zaenal Muttaqin also shared information in the information presentation session about UIN Jakarta campus. He explained the history of the development of UIN Jakarta. From the beginning of its establishment as ADIA, then became IAIN, until finally became the first UIN in Indonesia since 2002. 

He also thoroughly discussed the excellence of faculties and departments at UIN Jakarta, including the pride of the Faculty of Medicine, which makes UIN Jakarta the first UIN in Indonesia to have such a study program.

However, Zaenal did not just stop at explaining the faculties and departments. He also went into detail explaining the various entry points to UIN Jakarta, as well as highlighting the extracurricular activities and scholarship opportunities available to students.

The visit not only provided valuable information and experience for the students of SMAIT An Nur Bekasi, but also strengthened the relationship between the two educational institutions. (Alliya Sukma R./Novia Syifaputri Ramadhan)
