Six FITK Students receives Professor Husni Rahim Scholarship for Teachers Education

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Six students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) UIN Jakarta receives Professor Husni Rahim Scholarship for Teachers Education which was entrusted through the Social Humanitarian Institute Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta. Scholarships are expected to help students in fulfilling their obligations as students.

The official release of STF UIN Jakarta, accessed by BERITA UIN Online, Monday (02/14/2022), said that the six students were declared eligible to receive the scholarships because they had met the criteria and expectations of the initiation of this scholarship, namely having the potential to develop the world of Islamic education in Indonesia, said the Director of STF UIN Jakarta, Professor Amelia Fauzia.

The six students are Septara Utrujjah Dwy Putri, Arya Saputra Ramadani, Rindi Anggraini, Alfiyatul Yusriyah, Hanni Alicia Islamiya, and Halimah.

Amelia also added that the scholarship provided was a support from Professor Husni Rahim's family. “This scholarship is fully supported by Professor Husni Rahim's family in the form of education funds channeled through the Social Trust Fund of UIN Jakarta,” she explained.

This scholarship is named the Professor Husni Rahim Scholarship for Teachers Education with the hope of contributing to the birth of future Husni Rahim candidates who encourage the development of Islamic education in Indonesia.

It is known, Professor Husni Rahim is a Professor of FITK UIN Jakarta. This professor who was born in Pagaralam, South Sumatra, 76 years ago, is actively teaching and spreading his ideas in the field of education in various journals and books. One of his influential books titled  Arah Baru pendidikan Islam di Indonesia.

Based on his track record, Professor Husni Rahim can be categorized as one of the important figures in the world of education, especially Islamic education in Indonesia. “STF UIN Jakarta will proudly launch this scholarship in early March 2022,” said Amelia. (zm/usa)
