Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim Shares His Journey at UIN Jakarta Expose 2026
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News—UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta once again held its annual UIN Jakarta Expose 2026 titled “Discover Your Path: Be Part of UIN Jakarta” at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Wednesday (February 11, 2026). The event served as a campus introduction for high school and vocational school students (SMA/SMK/MA) as well as prospective students who plan to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies, while also providing direct experience in exploring the academic environment and various opportunities at UIN Jakarta.
One of the inspirational sessions featured Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim, an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Jakarta. The young pharmacist from Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, is known as the founder of the youth empowerment platform Youth Ranger Indonesia and as an initiator of various impactful social movements.
Born on March 1, 1998, Rinaldi moved to Jakarta in 2015 after being accepted as a recipient of the Santri Achievement Scholarship (PBSB) from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. He studied in the Department of Pharmacy and continued to the Pharmacist Professional Program at UIN Jakarta.
In his presentation, Rinaldi shared his journey of striving to enter university. He admitted that since high school he had been determined to continue his studies in Jakarta despite facing multiple failures during the selection processes.
“I tried every test and failed many of them. But I believe that if we truly work for something, we should not be afraid of being tested. Keep trying until there is a way,” he said before hundreds of participants.
The news that he had been accepted as a PBSB scholarship recipient became a turning point in his life. “When I received the news that I was accepted into Pharmacy and the Pharmacist Professional Program at UIN Jakarta through the Ministry of Religious Affairs scholarship, I felt it was the answer to long prayers and efforts,” he recalled.
Rinaldi also shared his first experience arriving in Jakarta. He admitted feeling awkward and insecure because he came from a rural area. However, that phase became an important learning process.
“I came from a village in Bone. Many things felt new. But that was where I learned to adapt, to build confidence, and to shape myself into a student who not only studies in class but also dares to take opportunities,” he said.
During his studies, Rinaldi actively participated in various international programs. He joined student exchanges to Thailand and South Korea and earned the Best Delegate award at an international event in Seoul. He also took part in an academic forum in Japan.
According to him, campus support played a crucial role in these achievements. “Many of the international activities I joined were supported by UIN Jakarta. The university provides space and opportunities, as long as we are brave enough to apply and pursue them,” he said, receiving applause from participants.
Academically, Rinaldi was named Second Outstanding Student of FKIK UIN Jakarta and received the Student Achievement Award for two consecutive years (2017 and 2018). He was also recognized as the Best Graduate of UIN Jakarta in 2020. Outside campus, he was awarded Youth Pioneer of Banten Province 2019 and Putra Bahari Indonesia Persahabatan in the same year.
His commitment to youth empowerment was realized through the establishment of Youth Ranger Indonesia in 2018. The mentorship-based platform has now reached more than 10,000 members across various regions in Indonesia.
“Young people have great potential but often lack a platform to express themselves and grow. That is why I created a learning and sharing space so they can grow together,” he explained.
Rinaldi also initiated the Rinaldi Scholarship Program for students ranging from junior high school to master’s degree level. The program reflects his commitment to expanding educational access for the next generation.
Closing the session, Rinaldi encouraged Expose UIN 2026 participants not to waste opportunities when they become university students.
“If you later study at UIN Jakarta, do not waste the opportunities. Build relationships with lecturers, submit proposals, join competitions, and dare to dream big. This campus provides space—it depends on how we use it,” he concluded.
Through presentations on the SNPMB pathway, SPAN PTKIN, independent admission selection, scholarship socialization, faculty and study program introductions, and the alumni talk show session, UIN Jakarta Expose 2026 became a space for information and direct interaction between prospective students and the academic community.
Attended by university leaders, representatives of SNPMB and LPDP, faculty deans, and more than 2,000 participants from around 200 schools, the event reaffirmed UIN Jakarta’s commitment to providing broad access to information for young generations who wish to pursue higher education.
