P3HP UIN Jakarta Signs Cooperation Agreement with BI in the Field of Halal Products

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – The Center for the Study and Development of Halal Product Assurance (P3JHP) UIN Jakarta signed a cooperation agreement with Bank Indonesia in the Diorama Room, Thursday (08/04/2022). The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and Director of the Department of Economics and Sharia Finance of BI (Bank Indonesia), Ita Rulina.

Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development Lily Surayya Eka Putri, Chair of Shaliza Medium, Small and Micro Business (UMKM) Foundation Ana Mariana and Member of Commission XI DPR RI Anis Byarwati.

Rector Amany in her remarks hopes that BI will directly assist and provide guidance to people who want to establisha a business that synergizes with campuses through P3JPH.

“Through this activity, the campus plays a role in national development and poverty alleviation,” said Rector Amany.

On the same occasion, Ita Ruliana also expressed her gratitude and appreciation to UIN Jakarta and Shaliza Medium, Small and Micro Business (UMKM) Foundation. Ita said, Indonesia is a country that contains great economic potential. Therefore, she hopes that this potential will be followed by rapid economic development.

Ita admitted that her party is currently working to accelerate the achievement of halal certification for MSME actors. “The government is targeting at least 10 million MSMEs to be halal certified,” said Ita.

The chair of Shaliza Foundation, Ana Mariana, also expressed her gratitude to BI for facilitating assistance in the form of capital goods for MSME actors through its social programs. BI, she continued, not only facilitated capital, but also held a halal certification training program for business actors.

“Hopefully the collaboration between BI and various agencies, especially UIN Jakarta can encourage rapid development for MSME actors,” she said. (ns/hn/usa)
