Islamic University of Madinah Welcomes Collaboration Initiative with UIN Jakarta
Madinah, UIN News Online- Islamic University of Madinah welcomes the cooperation initiative of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The initiation of cooperation was delivered directly by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar M.A. Ph.D and his entourage during a visit to the university located in the city of Madinah, Sunday (28/4/2024).
The initiation visit was welcomed directly by the acting Rector of the Islamic University of Medina (IUM) Prof. Hasan bin Abdul Moneim al-Awfi along with a number of university academic leaders. During this visit, Rector Asep Jahar was accompanied by Vice Rector for General Administration Prof. Dr. Imam Subci M.A., Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ali Munhanif M.A. Ph.D., and Head of International Cooperation Service Center Prof. Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem M.A. Ph.D..
In his speech, the leadership and community of Islamic University of Madinah welcomed UIN Jakarta's initiative to carry out research and teaching cooperation. They are also preparing to process the cooperation draft and implement the cooperation programs.
“We are accepted by the Rector of Madinah University. They are very happy and welcome for cooperation in all fields. Alhamdulillah,” said Rector Asep Jahar in his official statement.
On that occasion, the person in charge of each university's cooperation contact was also appointed. Both, Prof. Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem M.A. Ph.D. and Dr. Abdul Wahed Al-Rehaily who both serve as leaders of the international cooperation center.
These two contact persons will later arrange a virtual meeting time between faculties and units interested in cooperation. Both universities will invite each other's lecturers and professors to speak at international conferences and academic events.
Furthermore, the meeting was also filled with discussions on the importance of immediately carrying out expertise mapping and sharing information on scientists on each campus. It is known that the Islamic University of Madinah explained that they have research grants that can be used for collaborative research.
On that occasion, the leaders of the two universities revealed their respective academic excellence. IUM is noted to excel with religious faculties such as Da'wah, Ushuluddin, Quran and Hadith Sciences and other religious sciences.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UIN Jakarta revealed a number of advantages and achievements that have been recorded by UIN Jakarta recently. Among them, the achievement of UIN Jakarta in the 122nd position in the world in the field of Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies, the existence of two Scopus journals in the religious field, namely Ahkam journal of Islamic Law and Studia Islamic Journal of Islamic Studies.
In an additional statement, Professor Maila revealed, the initiation of UIN Jakarta's cooperation with the Islamic University of Madinah is part of the university's academic strengthening through cooperation with various world universities.
