Inviting Santris: UIN Jakarta Received Visit from MA Raudhatul Mujawiddin Jambi

Madya Hall, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta recently hosted a visit from Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Raudhatul Mujawwidin Jambi on Thursday (16/01/2025). This visit took place in the Madya Hall of UIN Jakarta and was attended by more than 50 santri (students) of MA Raudhatul Mujawwidin.

This visit was accompanied by the Deputy Principal of School and several other teachers. Ahmad Rizal, S.Pd., who was representing the caregiver and chairman of the foundation, expressed his intentions and objectives of visiting UIN Jakarta. He hopes that this visit can encourage his students to continue their studies at the best Islamic State University “We highly hope that our students will be able to continue their studies here at UIN Jakarta,” he said.

This visit was received directly by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A. In her speech, she warmly welcomed this visit and explained the various study programs and accreditations that have been achieved by the Faculty of Ushuluddin. “We really accept this visitation here at UIN Jakarta, hopefully these students can gain comprehensive information related to study programs and faculties at UIN Jakarta,” she said.

During the speech, Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UIN Jakarta, Zaenal Muttaqin, M.Ag. explained several detail related to various study programs and faculties available at UIN Jakarta. He also highlighted that nowadays, UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Ushuluddin has been internationally accredited by ACQUIN as of 2024.

"One of the faculties that has been internationally accredited is the Faculty of Ushuluddin, with unconditional predicate. This means that this faculty is now absolutely recognized on international scale,” he said.

This outstanding achievement is due to the quality of UIN Jakarta lecturers who come from various experts, masters, doctors, and professors in their academic fields. Some of the renowned lecturers at the Faculty of Ushuluddin are: Grand Master of Tafsir Prof. Dr. Said Aqil Husin Al-Munawar, Indonesian Seven Styles of Qur'an Reading Specialist Dr. Ahsin Sakho; and Professor of Tafsir Prof. Dr. Nasarudin Umar, who also currently serves as the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition, Zaenal also explained that students whose educational backgrounds are santri are very likely to choose various study programs and other faculties at UIN Jakarta. They can also register through regular and non-regular channels like other students. Fortunately, UIN Jakarta has dedicated scholarships for these outstanding santris, such as: tahfidz scholarships, and talent scouting.
