Four Indonesian Ministers Inspire UIN Jakarta Freshmen at PBAK 2025
Auditorium Harun Nasution, Jakarta – The Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Affairs (PBAK) 2025 at UIN Jakarta welcomed four Indonesian ministers to deliver their messages to the freshmen on Wednesday (August 27, 2025). Among them were the Minister of Women and Children Empowerment (PPPA), Dra. Hj. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, M.Si.; Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A.; Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Menkomdigi), Meutya Hafid, B.Eng., M.IP.; and Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed.
In his welcoming remarks, Minister of Religious Affairs and UIN Jakarta alumnus Prof. Nasaruddin Umar emphasized the value of PBAK as a platform for building relationships and nurturing diversity among students from across Indonesia.
"From this very moment, the seeds of your future are planted. Let compassion and tolerance guide your steps. Respect differences, nurture brotherhood, and broaden your horizons," he urged.
Minister Abdul Mu’ti highlighted the pivotal role of students as the nation’s future leaders.
"Be proud to be part of UIN Jakarta. Pursue excellence, study earnestly, and make full use of the resources and academic environment provided here to develop your potential academically and in leadership," he encouraged.
Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, delivered a keynote on “Internationalization, Digitalization, and Green Campus: Building Campus–Industry Collaboration for a Sustainable Future.” She underscored the importance of preparing for major changes driven by artificial intelligence and the broader digital transformation.
"We are living in an era of profound change—marked by industrial revolution and digital transformation, encompassing physical, digital, and biological shifts," she explained.
Meanwhile, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Dra. Hj. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, M.Si., reminded students of their vital responsibility as the nation’s future foundation.
"Being a student is not merely a status, but a responsibility. You are the next generation who will lead and uphold this nation," she stated. She also advised students to use their time wisely, seek knowledge extensively, foster positive circles, and take a stand against bullying and violence on campus.
PBAK UIN Jakarta 2025 served not only as an orientation but also as an inspiration for new students to grow, develop, and embrace their role as agents of change for the Indonesia Emas 2045.
