Exploring Partnership in Education, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Visits UIN Jakarta

Rectorate Building, UIN Online News - The Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina to Indonesia, Armin Limo, paid an official visit to the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Thursday (6/3/2024). The visit aims to explore opportunities for cooperation between Bosnia-Herzegovina and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

In a series of visits that lasted for one hour, Ambassador Armin Limo was received directly by the Vice Rector for Cooperation, Din Wahid M.A. Ph.D., in the Main Conference Room, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building. Also attending the reception were the heads of bureaus, including Priyono M.Pd (Karo AAKK), Djuanda Naim MH (Karo AUK), and M. Ali Irfan M.M (Karo PK), as well as several representatives from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the potential for cooperation in various fields of education, including student exchanges, joint research, and academic program development. Ambassador Armin Limo stated that Bosnia-Herzegovina is very interested in cooperating with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to expand the reach of higher education between countries.

According to him, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is a potential university to become an academic cooperation partner in the world of higher education in Bosnia-Herzegovina. In his country, said Ambassador Armin Limo, a total of 25 universities (9 state universities and 16 private universities) with a total of more than 100 thousand students.

Vice Rector for Cooperation, Din Wahid M.A. Ph.D., welcomed the goodwill of the Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in advancing higher education in Indonesia. "We see great potential in this cooperation and hope it can produce positive benefits for both parties," he said.

The visit of the Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina is expected to be a good start to strengthen relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Indonesia, especially in the field of higher education, as well as open up new opportunities for students and academics from both countries to collaborate and share knowledge.
