Chairperson of IKALUIN: Vaccination program aims to accelerate face-to-face learning
Student Center, UIN News Online – Chairperson of the Alumni Association of UIN (IKALUIN) Jakarta Ace Hasan Syadzily said one of the goals of administering vaccines was to accelerate face-to-face learning. This was said by Ace when reviewing the implementation of the second vaccination program for 1,000 family members of alumni, lecturers, employees, and students of UIN Jakarta at the Student Center Building, Saturday (08/21/2021).
“We want all academic community of UIN Jakarta to be vaccinated, so that face-to-face learning can be carried out immediately,” he said.
Ace said that the vaccination program by IKALUIN aims not only to assist the government in accelerating vaccination programs but also to formed herd immunity. If herd immunity is formed, it is hoped that they will be free from Covid-19 and life will return to normal.
Therefore, he added, IKALUIN is called to provide vaccinations for all academics and alumni families, so that learning and teaching activities in the classroom can also return to normal.
“Therefore, I urge all students to be vaccinated immediately,” said Ace.
The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis expressed her gratitude for the IKALUIN initiative. This is a form of IKALUIN's concern for the importance of maintaining public health.
“UIN Jakarta has implemented a vaccination program several times, some of them are held independently and several other vaccination programs are implemented through a cooperation scheme with with various institutions and communities. Insha Allah, there will be several more vaccination activities to achieve herd immunity,” said Rector Amany.
For information, the IKALUIN vaccination program at UIN Jakarta was held in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine (FK), Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes), National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas), Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital, and Haji Hospital UIN Jakarta. (usa/ns)
