Book Launch Marks The 65th Anniversary of UIN Jakarta

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta marked the 65th Anniversary celebration with a book launch event held on the Main Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta. Friday (05/20/2022). The books are titled Antologi 65 Guru Besar: “65 Tahun UIN Jakarta Membangun Indonesia” and UIN Jakarta Melewati Pandemi 2020-2022. In addition to book launching event, the anniversary, which was attended by the Vice Rectors, Deans, professors, and a number of lecturers and employees, was also marked by the tumpeng cutting ceremony. The tumpeng cutting ceremony was carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, witnessed by the Chair of University Senate Abuddin Nata, Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture for the period 2009-2014 Mohammad Nuh, Chair of the Anniversary Committee who is also Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Ali Munhanif, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah Yuli Yasin, and Head of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Fauziah Ahmad Rodoni. The Anniversary event was also filled with speeches by Mohammad Nuh and a remarks by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia KH Mar'ruf Amin. Amany Lubis said that the commemoration of the anniversary was an expression of gratitude for the progress made by UIN Jakarta since its establishment in 1957. This progress is not only in terms of infrastructure, but also various academic and non-academic achievements. “We are also very grateful to our founding fathers, both during ADIA and IAIN and now UIN Jakarta. They have contributed greatly to the establishment of UIN Jakarta today. May those who have passed away get a proper place with Allah SWT,” said Rector Amany. Ali Munhanif in his report said that the 65th Anniversary of UIN Jakarta was held in several series of activities. Apart from competitions, there are also scientific activities, social services, photo exhibitions, and entertainment. “Our event is packaged in a simple but meaningful way. Hopefully everything can go according to the plan,” he said. Meanwhile, at the same time, Rector Amany Lubis also opened a photo exhibition about the journey of UIN Jakarta. The exhibition was held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium and featured various photos of UIN Jakarta from time to time. (ns/usa)
