Alfiani Fatimah Azahro, National Taekwondo Champion from the Islamic Mysticism Study Program

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Alfiani Fatimah Azahro, a student in the Islamic Mysticism study program of the Ushuludin faculty, won the national Taekwondo tournament. In addition, she also has many satisfying achievements in other fields, including academic achievements.

Alfiani Fatimah Azahro's talent in Taekwondo is unquestionable. This can be seen from the several championships she has participated in, both at the regional and national levels. Fatimah is also active as a Taekwondo coach at SMAN 15 Tangerang Regency, and at her residence in Panongan District, Tangerang Regency.

The last national event that Fatimah participated in was the general championship at the “Taekwondo Open Tournament 2022” at the Indoor Stadium Sport Center, Tangerang Regency, on February 1-3, 2022. At that time he had to face a number of tough Taekwondo athletes from various regions.

However, thanks to his determination and strong spirit, she managed to overcome her opponent and won second place in the prestigious event.

“Since college, I haven't participated in many championships because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, when I was in high school, i won a lot of tournaments,” said Alfiani on Tuesday (07/12/2022).

While in high school, she won the first place in the Jabodetabek Taekwondo tournament “Danyon Arhanud 1/1 CUP 2” (2018), the third winner in the Pre Junior, Junior and Senior Taekwondo tournament at STMIK Jakarta STIK Cup IV in Jabodetabek (2018), winner in the Taekwondo tournament in Jabodetabek BSD Junction Competition (2018), first place in the Prabu Taekwondo Challenge 4 championship in Jabodetabek, Serang, and Cilegon (2019), third place in the Taekwondo Krakatau Posco Cup 1 Open Champions in Java (2019), first champion in Oh Il Nam Open Championship (2019), and the second winner was the Taekwondo Student @Mosphere Championship Tangerang Regent's Cup Taekwondo Champions (2020).

Fatimah's achievements did not end there. She is also fairly good at mathematics, writing, and public speaking. She is also active as a master of ceremonies (MC).

“In mathematics, I won third place at the 2014 Junior High School Mathematics Olympiad,” said Fatimah.

As a writer, Fatimah has also produced many works. Among others, contributors to the National Poetry Writing Contest with the theme "Luka" organized by Rofsikaha Media (2021), the best author in a book entitled “Selembut Salju” (2021), the author of the Essay Contest “Peran Mahasiswa Sebagai Penyambung Tangan Masyarakat” organized by the Campus Da'wah Institute (LDK). ) Ar- Risalah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh (2021), third place in the National Level Student Essay Competition "Kopma Fair Competition" Yogyakarta Technological University (2022), the best writer in the Zen 3.0 National Level Poetry Competition with the theme “Malam,Pagi & Senja” (2022), selected author in writing an anthology book entitled “Suara Puan” (2022), and selected author in writing an anthology book entitled “Pondasi yang Retak” (2022).

In the midst of her busy life, Fatimah is still active in campus organization, both at the university and faculty level. In fact, she is also listed as a volunteer at STF UIN Jakarta. Fatimah also has an outstanding academic achievement with 3.88 of GPA in the fourth semester.

“For me, there must be a balance between studying and being active, because that is the key to our future success,” said Fatimah. (ns/usa)
