UIN Selected the Bidik Misi Recipients

Students Affairs Building, UIN News—As many as 450 students of UIN Jakarta following the selection for BidikMisi 2015 scholarship recepients, Monday-Tuesday (12-13/10). This yearm UIN Jakarta has 160 seats for bidikmisi scholarship recipients for new students, increasing from 150 students last year.

Amelia HidayatS.Pd.I, Staff for Students Affairs Bureau said, the selection process is done from document selection, psycho test, and interview. “Selection is done to recruit the most suitable students to reach the target criteria of scholarship,” she said.

Recipients, she explained, will receive aid worth Rp 6 million per semester for eight semesters so a total scholarship for the students is Rp 48 million. With a new quota of recipients are 160 people, then a total scholarship allocation for the first semester is Rp 960 million. “For the first year, the recipients will be staying in the dorm and get guidance,” Amel added.

Meanwhile, Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta distributed scholarship for 31 students of UIN Jakarta for regular program and Faculty of Medicine and Health Science (FKIK). “This scholarship is expected to encourage the motivation of the students,” said FuziFauziah, staff of STF.

According to Fauziah, the scholarship fund is given in the form of payment for education development (SPP) regarding each nominal of SPP. Besides that, the fund is given for two semesters.

Fuzi added, the 31st students receive scholarship in two main groups. In the first group there are 26 students to receive scholarship. In the second group, the grantees extended to five students. Especially for the last group, they passed the selection because their ability to maintain academic achievement and noted their performances as STF volunteer.

As the recipients, Fuzi said, STF required the students to be a volunteer in the programs of STF. “By participating as volunteer, STF also targeting the scholarship recipients to get entrepreneur education,” she said.  (TAM/ZM/IPM)
