UIN Jakarta’s Nasyid Team Determined to Always Win

Jakarta, UIN News—Having won numerous competitions, Avuntu, UIN Jakarta’s Nasyid team, is determined to regain success in the upcoming competition events nationwide and worldwide. The team hoped for support from the University to step up its game to a new level.

This was the same as what was uttered by the team’s official to UIN News, Thursday (09/10). Muazir Mustaqim Bunis uttered that his team hoped for UIN Jakarta to be able to support its students who have keen interest in various fields, especially nasyid and tahfiz.

“Because, by championing several competitions, we have promoted UIN Jakarta to the national and international society. We have also, indirectly, invite prospective students to come to study in the University,” he said.

Founded in 2013, Avuntu has succeeded in gaining the champion title in various competitions. Most recently, the team won Best Performance award in Pekan Ihtifal Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT), an ASEAN-wide competition, and Konvensyen Pendakwah Muda Antar Bangsa 2015, which was organized by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Thursday-Monday (20-24/08).

The official for the team, Fitra Romadhona S.Pd, uttered that Avuntu was one of the best participants with other teams originated from universities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. “Besides UIN Jakarta, there is a team from Indonesia coming from Universitas Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) Semarang,” he said.

In the occasion, he said. Avuntu has succeeded in winning the champion title for the category of Best Performance. Meanwhile, for Best Team position from first to third, went to several Malaysian universities.

Before competing in Malaysia, Avuntu has won a nationwide competition called “Festival Arabia 2015” organized by Al-Azhar University Indonesia, Friday (18/09). During this occasion, UIN Jakarta team gained the position of Best Team after winning the champion title of tahfiz and kaligrafi competition branch.

Since its establishment, Avuntu’s member formation has never changed. The 6 original members of Avuntu are Wahyu Agustian Agan (PBA FITK), Muazir Mustaqim Bunis (PBA FITK), Asnawi Rija (PBA FITK), Ariz Nandar (Pendidikan Kimia-FITK), Alvan Ridwan (Ilmu Hukum-FSH), and TB.
