UIN Jakarta-UIN Palembang Signed the MoU for Three Pillars of Higher Education Development

Rectorate Building, UIN NEWS Online – UIN Jakarta signed two memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UIN Palembang di in regards of Higher Education (PT) Tri Dharma development.The first point of the cooperation regarding human resources development, whereas the second point of the cooperation will be focused in financial management.

The first script of cooperation agreement was signed by Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof DrDedeRosyadaand Rector UIN Palembang Prof Dr Muhammad Sirozi. The second manuscript is signed by two officials commitments maker (PPK),Encep Dimyati (PPK UIN Jakarta) and Sujinal Arifin (PPK UIN Palembang). The signing event was held at Main Conference Roomof Rectorate Building, Thursday (23/3/2017).

Also present at the event, several board of leader of UIN Jakarta, such as Vice Rector of Academic AffairsDrFadhilahSuralaga, Vice Rector of General AdministrationProf Dr Abdul Hamid, Vice Rector of Cooperation Prof DrMurodi, Head of Academic Administration and Cooperation Drs Zaenal Arifin, Head of Public Administration and Civil Service BureauD r Rudi Subiyantoro, Head of Planning and Finance Bureau Drs Zubarja MPd. Whereas from UIN Palembang, Vice Rector of General Administration Dr Zainal Burlian and Head of Finance Planning and General Administration Bureau Dr HM Ridwan.

As stated in the text of the cooperation, there are some measures to be taken by both universities in the development of human resources. The cooperation key point includes education and training, organizing community service, research and scientific activities, as well as management in Arabic and English implementation.

Dede Rosyada in his remarks said that UIN Jakarta optimistically receive the cooperation with UIN Palembang. The cooperation is expected to bring positive effect for both university developments. UIN Jakarta evenspecifically ready to give technical training regarding financial management for UIN Palembang which recently gained public service agency (BLU) status.

According to Dede, UIN Jakarta has been implementing financial management through remuneration system. The system is designed to give assurance that the civil state apparatus (ASN) obtain additional incentives beyond the basic salary.

"There are basic standards and rules of the game in the remuneration system made according to the rules of Ministry of finance. Besides employees, remuneration was also given to lecturers, especially lecturers who have positions,"he said.

Meanwhile, Rector of UIN Palembang Muhammad Sirozi said that since the change of status from IAIN to UIN and now to BLU, his parties have wanted to implement remuneration system for a long time. But, the matter is still yet to be realized because there are still many systems to be studied, both the regulation and its implementation system.

“That is why we want to learn to UIN Jakarta. We only want UIN Jakarta to be the Imam. Because if there is too many imams, there will be room for more khilafiyah. Thus, we apologize in advance if we took a long time to learn,” he said. (usa)
