UIN Jakarta to strengthen the International Recognition

Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is determined to become the world class university which has a competitive and comparative advantage. Among the steps are carried out is through international recognition, both institutionally and human resources.

It was conveyed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada while officiate the opening of leaders work meeting (Rakerpim) in Harun Nasution Auditorium, Wednesday, (1/1/8). This event was attended by the head of UIN Jakarta Senate Prof Dr HM Atho Mudzhar MA, the vice rectors, and other UIN Jakarta officials.

“There are several ways to obtain international recognition, such as by organizing the visiting professor and fellowship programs, and by improving scopus indexed international publication,” he said.

Moreover, UIN Jakarta will develop campus autonomy as well as creating the more humane campus environment.  For campus autonomy, UIN Jakarta will transform its status from Public Service Agency State University (PTN BLU) to Legal Entity State University (PTN BH), while the creation of humane campus environment will be made through the realignment of the campus area.

“Actually, we had a large area in Cikuya, Tangerang, Banten. However, UIN Jakarta won’t be able to focus its activities in that area because in here (Ciputat, South Tangerang –ed) already has its own special charm,” said Dede.

Related to Rakerpim, Rector expects this Rakerpim will able to produce a wide range of important and strategic decision to be implemented in UIN Jakarta over the next year. (rs/usa)
