UIN Jakarta Prepares The New Strategic Plan

Rectorate, UIN NEWS Online– UIN Jakarta is currently preparing for the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan. The earlier drafts of the Strategic Plan is expected to be completed before Idul Fitri 1437 H, and will be discussed together with the Rector and senates of UIN Jakarta. The New Strategic Plan is expected to be the guidelines for the development of policy-making in UIN Jakarta during the next five years.

"The Strategic Plan was not devised from a wishlist, but rather from the reflection regarding evaluation results of the current condition and the future needs of UIN Jakarta," said the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), Prof. Dr. M. Arskal Salim GP., MA to UIN NEWS Online, Thursday (6/23)

The drafts for the new strategic plan has been carried out throughout the two days focus group discussion, Tuesday-Wednesday (6/20-21). A number of parties were appointed to analyze the various objective conditions in UIN Jakarta today. They also discussed about the develompent frameworks and financing strategy programs for UIN Jakarta.

One of the big idea to be accommodated in the new Strategic Plan is the transformation status from Public Service Agency (Badan Layanan Umum/BLU) into the Public University-Legal Entity (PTN Badan Hukum/PTN BH). The institutional transformation is expected to support the develompment progress of UIN Jakarta in independently and accountably ways.

The new Strategic Plan is compiled by considering the current condition of UIN Jakarta, as well as the challenges and opportunities that can realized by UIN Jakarta. One of which is the effortt to gain global recognition on UIN Jakarta as the center of Islamic studies and science. (Abd. Rosyid/Zm/fa/umar)
