UIN Jakarta Organize Socialization Event at Pesantren Daar el Qolam

Tangerang, UIN NEWS Online— UIN Jakarta organized socialization at the event of Decade 2017 held by Pondok Pesantren Daar el Qolam, Wednesday (08/02). The event themed Daar El-Qolam Career Day and Education Fair were participated by various universities and attended by the students of the pesantren.
“For the umpteenth time we organize socialization for UIN Jakarta to the students in the said Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School). The purpose of the event is so that the right information relayed accurately to the participant,†said the chief of Publication and Documentation sub-department Feni Arifiani MH, to UIN NEWS.
Feni also added UIN Jakarta is not the only one doing the socialization. At least there are 25 higher education instutions, both international and domestic that is also participated in socializing its respective institutions. “The students respond to this event with so much enthusiasm and asking severak wuestions about the university admission system, university entrance exam, the faculties offered, and the prospect in the career world after graduated from the university,†Feni explained.
One of a santri said to UIN NEWS that she is glad the event was held. “alhamdulilah, with this event I can gain the accurate information directly and there is no hassle of travelling because the activities in the pesantren itself is quite packed,†she said.
The same thing also expressed by the officials. Hermanuddin, one of Documentation and Puvlication staff of UIN Jakarta admit that he was overwhelmed by the questions asked by the students that visited UIN Jakarta Expo booth.
“We are quite overwhelmed by their enthusiasm of asking us the questions. There are some moments of the students scrambling over us to ask question. Although Alhamdulilah we were able to answer all the question one by one,†said Herman.
For info, Daar el Qolam was an Islamic Boarding School that built since 1968 AD or around 1387 H under the care of KH. Ahmad Rifa’i Arif, the first son of 12 from H. Qasad Mansyur (initiator) and Hj. Mastufah couple. Pondok pesantren Daar el Qolam is located at Jalan Raya Serang KM. 35 Desa Pasir Gintung, Kecamatan Jayanti, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten. (rs)
