UIN Jakarta NEWS Journalist Won Al Quran Paper Competition

Mataram, UIN NEWS Online- UIN NEWS Journalist, Ahmad Hamdani, managed to become the second best participant in Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) all XXVI for Scientific Papers Writing branch of al-Quran (M2IQ) in West Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday (3/08/2016). The 7th semester student of Department of Chemistry Education, FITK, wrote a paper entitled The Crisis of Gender: Exploitation of Women in the Mass Media.

This victory gives an own impression for the winner of UIN Jakarta Student Achievement Award in 2014 and 2015. He must pass through some suspenseful stages where he had to deal with another participant from various provinces throughout Indonesia. And even, in the final moment, he should be able to present his paper in front of nine expert judges.

 Moreover, Dani said, this achievement he lists is on the national level. "If you usually come MTQ one must excel in the districts followed by provinces, thank God I should be eased by God to win the national level," said the Chairman of Bidikmisi Student Forum 2015 expressing his gratitude.

Apart from the achievements recorded, Dani finds this activity gives him the motivation to learn the Quran from a scientific standpoint. As a student of Physics Department, he was encouraged to learn the Quran from a scientific background. "It turns out that Al-Quran attracts not only to read and memorize but also to dig it from the standpoint of science," he added.

On the other hand, the obtained achievement has provided an important point for Banten province as the Grand Champion in the 46th MTQ. As known, Banten Province Kafilah won the Grand Champion Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) National-XXVI at Mataram which took place from June 30, 2016. The second best was won by Jakarta, followed by Riau Islands, West Nusa Tenggara, Central Java, Riau, West Sumatra, Aceh, West Papua, West Java. (Report Ikhda K / ZM)
