UIN Jakarta managed to get 6th rank on Google Scholar Citations

Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta managed to get 6th rank on the Nationwide Google Scholar Citations. According to the data, the position of UIN Jakarta is behind the Universitas Gadjah Mada (1), Institut Teknologi Bandung (2), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (3), the Universitas Indonesia (4), and Universitas Diponegoro (5).

Moreover, the rankings put UIN Jakarta over Universitas Brawijaya (7), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (8), Institut Pertanian Bogor (9), dan Universitas Padjajaran (10). As for the PTKIN, UIN Jakarta position is far above the position of UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung which ranks 64th nationally and UIN Syarif Jasin, 72nd nationally

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engines that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Released in beta in November 2004, the Google Scholar index includes most peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr. Dede Rosyada previously said that Google Scholar Citations is a measurement that considered in the development of current and future UIN Jakarta.
