UIN Jakarta Manage to Obtain the 1st Webometrics Rank for PTKIN
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Once again, UIN Jakarta manage to obtain the 1st webometrics rank for National State Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN) webometrics, leaving UIN Malang as the runner up and UIN Surabaya as the 2nd runner up. As for the national level, UIN Jakarta only managed to obtain 20th position. The results are based on data accessed by UIN NEWS Online team from http://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Indonesia page, Tuesday (8/1).
In response, Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA appreciated the achievement and hoped that the publication of scientific journals and research results in UIN Jakarta can be further improved.
“By maximizing the publication of scientific journals and research results, it will enhance UIN Jakarta web repository further, automatically, our webometrics rank will increase,†said Rector.
He also added that all civitas academica of UIN Jakarta must work harder in order to compete with other universities both nationally and internationally.
For information, Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system for the world's universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web contents (number of web pages and files) and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external site citations they received. The aim of the Ranking is to improve the presence of the academic and research institutions on the Web and to promote the open access publication of scientific results. (usa)
