UIN Jakarta Gained AUN-QA Accreditation

Rectorate building, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is trying to become one of the leading Universities in ASEAN. And by obtaining the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance) accreditation, it confirms the capacity and crucial role of UIN Jakarta in education and scientific research. Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr. Dede Rosyada in his office on Monday (9/5) said UIN Jakarta had gained International recognition, particularly in ASEAN countries.

“Congratulations to the four program studies that has been successfully obtained AUN-QA accreditation, I am very happy and grateful for the achievement of UIN Jakarta with the issuance of the accreditation certificate by ASEAN level institution.” Said Dede.

He also added that UIN would continue to try to achieve higher levels of accreditation, such as the Islamic-QA.

At the same place, the secretary of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Kusmana MA and the Head of the center for Audit and Quality Control Salamah Agung S.Si Apt, MA, Ph.D. said the same thing to UIN News Online, that this achievement proves that UIN Jakarta has been recognized in the ASEAN countries. However, some evaluations need immediate improvement.

“First, we need to improve the Expected Learning Outcome (ELO) to give more attention to the compatibility between the student's ability level with Bloom's taxonomy. Second, the need for a precise regeneration system, so there is no generation gap between senior and junior. Third, UIN Jakarta will need to focus more seriously on improving the capacity of the lecturers and staff on a regular basis. Fourth, the assessors need to encourage UIN Jakarta to improve the quality of evaluation and revision of curricula towards the relevance of study programs with the demands of the market and scientific development. Fifth, UIN Jakarta needs to involve users in the revision and evaluation of the curriculum in all its aspects. And the last, UIN Jakarta need to be more aggressive in offering international classes by increasing the input selection that expanded both regionally and globally.” Kusmana explained to UIN News Online.
