UIN Jakarta Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Campus

Kopertais Building, UIN News Online – The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr. Dede Rosyada inaugurated the construction activities of the new campus building in Pisangan, East Ciputat, Tuesday (9/6). When pressing the siren signaled the start of groundbreaking, Dede, accompanied by the vice rectors, the dean of faculties, the bureau heads and several guests.

According to Dede, the five-story building will be designed to accommodate 4000 students. The design will feature the classrooms, dean office, library, musholla, theater room and other supporting room.

“The new building is planned to reduce the overcrowding at UIN Jakarta 1st campus, and to support UIN Jakarta to accept more students in the coming years.” Said Dede.

At the same place, South Tangerang regional secretary Drs H Muhammad who represents the Mayor of South Tangerang said that the South Tangerang government would fully support the development conducted by UIN Jakarta. “We support the development of UIN Jakarta in order to educate our future generation.” He said.

For information, the building is scheduled to be completed within five months starting from the groundbreaking and will be put into use in early 2017.

For the process of construction, UIN Jakarta appointed several consultants and a contractor. PT. Bahana Nusantara as a planner consultant, PT. ARKONIN as consultant supervisor and PT. SATYAGI CIPTA PRIMA as the contractor for this project. (lrf/ika p/umar)
