The Ministry of Religious Affairs Send a Legal Notice to IIQ Foundation

Academics Building, UIN News Online – The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) send a legal notice to al-Qur’an Science Institute Foundation (YIIQ) Jakarta related to utilization of 1,195 square meters of land owned by The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pisangan, East Ciputat, South Tangerang, Banten. A legal notice is filed because the YIIQ ignored the land clearing order.

The Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting Division UIN Jakarta Encep DImiyati,S.Ag, M.Ag confirmed it when he met by UIN News Online in his office, Friday (10/14). According to Encep, the legal notice letters from Kemenag numbered 14 116 / SJ / B.V / three / HK.04 / 2016 dated August 16, 2016. The letter, which is signed by the Secretary General of The Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr H Nursyam was addressed to the head of YIIQ and the Rector of IIQ. The letter contains six important points, including the land clearing order.

“The Ministry of Religious Affairs send a legal notice because YIIQ ignored the land clearing order earlier.” He said.

According to Encep, the clearing order warrant by Kemenag had already been submitted several times. That was because the area would be used by UIN Jakarta for the lecturing activities. However, instead of clearing the land, the YIIQ remain unmoved until now.

“The Ministry of Religious Affairs and UIN Jakarta will continue to maintain the land.” He added.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs on its legal notice said, an area of 1,195 square meters on which now stands the campus of the Institute of Sciences of the Qur'an (IIQ) is requested to immediately emptied by YIIQ. The land clearing orders are given for 30 days from the receipt of the legal notice letter.

If the clearing order is not carried out within 30 days, The Ministry of Religious Affairs will solve the problem through legal action, both civil and criminal, including the forced expulsion.

“The Ministry of Religious Affairs has valid evidence and strong on land ownership, either in the form of a certificate as well as the verdict from the Central Jakarta District Court and Indonesia Supreme Court.” He Said. (ns/ika p/umar)
