STF Offer Scholarship for High-Achieving students

Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta Social Trust Fund (STF) offer a scholarship for 2016/2017 academic year, and will be allocated for 30 high-achieving students from low-income families. It was said by STF Program Manager, Emi Ilmiah, MA, explained to UIN News Online in her office, Wednesday (8/3). “Since 2012, this program has provided 500 scholarships for talented students from low-income families.” She said.

According to Emi, STF is committed to helping the talented students from UIN Jakarta to attend college without overburdening families with college costs. The scholarships are open to all students of UIN Jakarta as long as they can fulfill the requirements.

Aside from having academic achievement, the students are required to attach an official relief letter (Surat Keterangan Tidak Mampu/SKTM). The other requirements are the students are not accepting other scholarships from another institution and still active as a student of UIN Jakarta.

“If these demands are met and they are chosen as a scholarship grantee, they also must be willing to volunteer in SFT. This scholarship is sponsored by some different individuals or institutions,” she added.

STF scholarship will cover tuition fees and living cost for eight semesters. The registration will be opened in September, while the selection result will be announced in December 2016. (ika p/ns/yuni nurkamaliah/umar)
