Six Foreign professors are attending UIN Jakarta Visiting Professor Program

LP2M Building, UIN News Online– Six professors from six different foreign universities, are attending the 2016 UIN Jakarta Visiting Professor Program. In addition to research, they will also give a lectures to the students and will become the speakers for seminar.  They will also be involved in various other academic activities. Said The Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) Prof, Dr. Arskal Salim, MA to UIN News Online on Wednesday, June 30th 2016.

According to LP2M data, the professors are Bijan Davvaz from Yazd University of Iran, Hamid Slimi from Canadian Centre for Deen Studies, Martha Beck from Lyon College, Jayakaran Mukundan from Universitas Putera Malaysia, Muhammad Ibrahim Noorzaee from Kabul University, and Abdul Aziz Munadhil from Ibn Tufail University of Morocco.

The six professors will be placed in five different faculty and one institution. The details are as follows, Davvaz will be placed in theFaculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training, Slimi in the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Beck in the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Noorzaee in Faculty of Syari’ah and Law, Munadhil in the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah, and Mukundan in the Institute for Research and Community Service.

Arskal hope, the six professor can enrich the academic climate in UIN Jakarta. And the faculty which is occupied by them can maximize their existence. “The purpose of their presence is to grow and enriched our academy culture,” He added. (ikhda/zm/fa/Umar Syarif Audah)
