Representatives of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Visit UIN Jakarta

Rectorate, UIN News Online – On Tuesday, January 24^th, the Senior Researcher from QS Intelligent Unit Singapore Simon Wong Visit UIN Jakarta to meet the Rector, Prof Dr Dede Rosyada in Rectorate building to discuss about trend of global university ranking made by QS.

Also present in the meeting, the head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Dr. Sururin, MA, Secretary of LPM Kusmana, MA, and the dean of faculties.

During the meeting, Simon gives the detailed information about the necessary requirements and conditions for the universities to be included into the QS Ranking “QS Ranking is determined in accordance with the Research quality, teaching quality, graduates employability, and internationalization,” he said.

He also noted that UIN Jakarta have enough scientific potential to be included into QS ranking. “Inform us about your achievements and innovations, we will introduce you to the world,” he added.

For information, QS World University Ranking is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Previously known as THE-QS World University RankingS, the publisher had collaborated with Times Higher Education Magazine (THE) to publish its international league tables from 2004 to 2009 before both started to announce their own versions. The QS system now comprises the global overall and subject rankings, alongside five independent regional tables (Asia, Latin America, Emerging Europe and Central Asia, the Arab Region, and BRICS).
