Rector Welcome Assessment Team from AUN-QA to UIN Jakarta

Harun Nasution Hall, UIN NEWS Online Rektor of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA, welcomed the team from ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), Tuesday (05/04) in Harun Nasution Hall. Four Study Program that will be evaluated are, Islamic Religion Study (FITK), Guidance and Counceling of Islam Study (FIDKOM), Cultural History of Islam (FAH), and Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI).

“We welcome the team from AUN-QA to our campus, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This campus is the biggest and the oldest islamic campus in SouthEast Asia,” He stated.

He added, this visit process is done in order to get recognition in standard assessment of AUN-QA, and UIN Jakarta with other 32 university from 10 countries in South East Asia.

“I hope the assessment process from AUN-QA works in a good manner and every study assessed gets its recognition from AUN, so the alumnus could compete in ASEAN market,” he hoped.

Opening and presentation was done after rector’s greetings by showing profile videos of UIN Jakarta. In this occassion, the head of senate of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr HM Atho Mudzhar MA, attend the event, as well as Vice rector, Dean, head of study program, and all of academic civitas of UIN Jakarta.

Deputy of AUN, Dr Choltis Dhirathiti, said, that AUN-QA is an assessment and not acreditation. Acreditation itself is part of QA. Assessment is done independently (self assessment) by doing SAR (Self-Assesment Report). This Report of SAR is the process on quality assurance of program study or an institution which followed by confirmation on document completion and determine Action For Improvement towards the result of SAR.

After that, reviewer team will visit the Study Program which would be assessed to give a feedback on improvements in the future.

This visit is also supports on UIN Jakarta preparedness in becoming a World Class University (WCU) in the future. (Translated by: Ihsan/Amanda)
