Professor from FITK Prof Dr Moh Matsna Passes away

Rectorate, UIN News Online - Prof Dr. Moh. Matsna HS from PTIK passes away on Friday (7/29) at Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital Ciputat. He was 61 and died after suffering from health complication.

Prof Dr. Moh. Matsna, who was born in Cirebon, West Java is an Arabic language Professor from the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training (FITK). His academic career began as a department secretary of Arabic languages, Faculty of Tarbiyah IAIN Jakarta (1985-1994), as a head of an extension program in the Faculty of tarbiyah and teaching (1999-2005), as a secretary of Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) UIN Jakarta (2007-2011). He also has served as Acting Rector of IAIN Cirebon for three months (2010) and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs UIN Jakarta (2011-2014).

Matsna has finished his diploma degree in IAIN Cirebon from 1971 until 1974, and continued his graduate program at IAIN Jakarta, majoring in Arabic Language Education, then obtained his post-graduate program from Ma’had al-Khartoum al-Dauly li al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyah (Khartoum International Institut of Arabic), Sudan until 1984. He finished his doctoral degree at IAIN Jakarta post graduate program in 1999.

He leaves behind his wife Aan Hasanah and their four children. (ika p/ns/umar)
