Muawwanah, Inspiring Muslimah Sunsilk Hijab Hunt Version

Her name is Muawwanah (20), 8th semester student of the Faculty of Islamic Theology of UIN Jakarta, majoring in Al-Qur'an and Tafsir, suddenly became popular in mass media. The reason, she has recently been crowned as the most inspiring champion in the scope of Hijabi Muslim women pageant Indonesia on Grand Final Sunsilk Hijab Hunt 2017.

Muawwanah, who represented participants from Jakarta, succeeded in becoming an inspiring champion based on online voting and SMS with her talent as a speaker. For her victory, she was granted Rp. 10 Million as prize.

"I became the champion from the assesment of talent and preaching," said Muna, the nickname for Muawwanah, while talking with UIN NEWS in the editorial room, Wednesday (19/7).

On the night of the grand final which was aired live by one of private television from Ancol's Ecovention Building, Jakarta, Muna had to compete with 10 other finalists in front of the judges such as Desy Ratnasari, Laudya Cynthia Bella, Dian Pelangi and Nycta Gina. In addition to choosing an inspired finalist, also selected the main crown winner on Sunsilk Hijab Hunt that fell on Lia Karina, Taekwondo athlete from Yogyakarta. While the runner-up position placed to Aisyah, finalists from Palembang and Tamara Aisyah from Bandung. The most favorite champion falls on Ayu Putri Sundari from Yogyakarta with a singing and playing musical instrument talent.

The process to the finalists, according to Muna, is not easy. When I first auditioned, there were at least 8,000 applicants from all over Indonesia. Even from Jakarta's representative alone, he has to deal with 3,000 registrants.

"Alhamdulillah, from 24 Representative who become the finalist from Jakarta, I passed the elimination. Then I compete alongside 50 participants from six cities in Indonesia to finally enter 10 finalists," said the Ambassador Runner Up of UIN Jakarta. The six cities are Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Palembang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya.

Elected as Inspirational Finalist at Sunsilk Hijab Hunt 2017, Muna who has the experience of being santri amitted that not only proud of herself but also proud of UIN Jakarta. Because, she said, during college in the Department of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir, she grew increasingly religious insight. In addition, the hijabers born in Jakarta, August 18, 1996, is also reportedly very fond of the study of tafsir.

"My study of interpretation is at least a capital to dare to appear as a speaker, including my participation in the Sunsilk Hijab Hunt competition," said the woman who aspires to have a foundation of Islamic education and own boutique Muslim clothing business.

Muna told, in the year 2016 she also claimed to have auditioned in the same event. However, at that time she was eliminated. However, the first failure did not discourage her. Proven that this  beautiful white woman weighing 49 kilograms and 164 centimeters tall, was auditioned again in Jakarta and passed.

"I believe that Allah will always make it easy to achieve my dream to become the Ambassador of Indonesian Muslim in Sunsilk Hijab Hunt event," said Muna who is also the former finalist of AKSI Indosiar in 2015. (usa)
