Diorama Room, UIN News online- Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Jakarta hold socialization titled Journal Internationalization in UIN Jakarta Environment at Diorama Room, Monday (16/01/2017). It is hoped, the activities motivate the faculty and institutions in UIN Jakarta to improve the status of journals they publish.
The activities opened by the Rector Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada MA. Together with speakers of scientific publication Chief, Directorate of Islamic Higher Education Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr. Subandriyah, MM. In addition, the event was also attended by the vice-chancellor, deans, journal managers, LP2M UIN Jakarta Chairman Prof. Dr. Arskal Salim GP MA and Secretary Dr. Imam Subchi MA.
In his speech, rector appreciates LP2M initiated socialization. He hopes seriously on academic articles publishing in UIN Jakarta continues to grow better. Publication becomes indicator development of the university's academic culture.
"One main indicator of a research-oriented university is on academic articles quantity and quality size, " He said.
Virtual Office
Furthermore, Rector continued, UIN Jakarta also plans to form a virtual office for the journals management around UIN Jakarta. Its existence is expected to be a 'workshop' in improving the scientific journals quality.
Its presence believed will improve UIN Jakarta endeavor in developing the tradition of journal writing. Last year, UIN Jakarta assigning 9 teams chored to accelerate improvement of scientific journals status of UIN Jakarta.
"We have the plan to put up a virtual office on campus I, and shall have adequate facilities. It is expected with the construction of the virtual office, we expect that the journal managers team can work effectively and leverage, "he said.
The formation of its own virtual office, he added, as UIN Jakarta endeavor in encouraging international scientific publications in 2017. One of ways by increasing journal accreditation.
"More and more journals are indexed internationally, consequently the name of UIN Jakarta will be worldwide," he said.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Subandriyah appreciated development of journal management in UIN Jakarta. As a world-class university, he added, UIN Jakarta should have various academic journals with a various scientific background. Separately, Arskal said that LP2M will continue to provide support to journal management team in UIN Jakarta, "we will facilitate journal managers’ team in UIN Jakarta," he said (im/usa)
