FST UIN Jakarta Organize Chemistry Workshop

FST, UIN NEWS Online— Department of Chemistry Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Jakarta recently organizes chemistry workshop. The event themed Restructurization and Revitalization of Valensi Chemistry Journal towards Internationally Accredited Journal was held in Conference Room, FST UIN Jakarta. Monday - Tuesday (27-28/02)

Also present in the series of event, Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Jakarta Dr Agus Salim MSi, Head of Chemistry Department Drs Dede Sukandar MSi, Secretary of the department Isalmi Aziz, MT, and all civitas academica of Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Jakarta.

According to Agus Salim, this workshop event was an agenda for system settings and journal publishing synchronization and FST website. “This Open Journal System (OJS) will include all aspects of online joini urnal publishing, from creating journal website to operational tasks such as writer submission process, review, editing, publication, archives, and journal indexing,” he said.

Still in the same place, Head of chemistry program Dede Sukandar said that Open Journal System (OJS) also assisted user aspect setting in creating a journal, including saving editor’s work, reviewer  and writer, notify the reader, and correspondence assistance.

“Let’s optimized scientific journal writings, especially those which indexed by scopus. Because, besides increasing UIN Jakarta’s web matrix, it is as our effort in taking UIN Jakarta’s vision as World Class University into realization,” said Dede.

For info, Open Journal System (OJS) is a system that is flexible and measurable. The system installation supported multiple journal operation. Each journal has its own unique URL and layout. Open Journal System (OJS) also supported international editor team with various responsibility of journal parts. (usa)
