FLAT UIN Jakarta to hold International Culture Festival

Student Center, UIN News Online - Foreign Language Association (FLAT) UIN Jakarta will hold International Cultural Festival/ICfest for a week on 8, 15 and 17th September 2016 at the campus of UIN Jakarta.The festival will feature the culture diversity from several countries in Asia and Europe.

According to the head of FLAT Zaky Fakhruddin, iCFest is an event to introduce the culture of the world to Indonesian society, especially the students of UIN Jakarta. The event will include a parade, art performance, talk show, bazaar, and the information regarding International scholarships.

“This activity is to provide better knowledge about the cultural diversity of the world, including Indonesia.” Said Zaky to UIN News Online, Friday (9/1).

Moreover, he added, this activity is an effort to raise our awareness about a multicultural understanding of the world, mainly to support UIN Jakarta in achieving a world class university status.

The organizers also invited some representatives from foreign embassies in Jakarta, especially the cultural attaché from the countries in Asia and Europe.

“We will show their cultures such as art, clothing, culinary and languages at ICfest.” He explained.(ns/ika p/umar)
