FKIK UIN Jakarta Signed Cooperation With Three local Governments

FKIK Auditorium, UIN News Online – Three local governments signed an agreement with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Jakarta in a scholarship program for outstanding santri students. The program is a form of partnership between UIN Jakarta, especially FKIK, and local government in order to provide opportunities for madrasah graduates / Islamic boarding schools from the local area to pursue their higher education in FKIK UIN Jakarta.

The agreement is signed by Municipal Government of Palangkaraya (Central Kalimantan) by the Mayor Dr HM Riban Satia, Musi Banyuasin District Government (South Sumatera) by the Head of Planning, Development and Subsidies of the Education Office Fauzi Asran and the Provincial Government Riau Islands by the Regional Secretary Dr Teungku Said Arif Fadillah. While from UIN Jakarta is represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada and Dean of FKIK Prof. Dr. Arif Sumantri.

Also present in the event, Vice Rector of Cooperation Affairs Prof Dr Murodi MA, Sub Director of Education Diniyah and Pesantren Dr Ahmad Zayadi, and the Chairman of DPRD Palangkaraya Sigit K Yunianto.

In addition to cooperation with local governments, FKIK has also established cooperation with the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the scholarship program for outstanding santris.

Dean of FKIK UIN Jakarta Arif Sumantri said that the santri who get scholarship to study at FKIK must have at least 2.9 of GPA. If the GPA is under 2.9, they will be dropped out. "That's the standard of value in FKIK," said Arif.

According to the Head of Santri Matriculation Program Jamaluddin MKep, in the academic year 2017/2018, the number of scholarship recipients has reached 64 people. “The amount includes the Ministry of Religious scholarship as many as 43 people, Riau Islands Provincial Government 7 people, City Government Palangkaraya 10 people, and Musi Banyuasin Regency Government 4 people,” said Jamaluddin.
