3 Ministers Will Attend UIN Jakarta Anniversary Gala Dinner

Rectorate, UIN NEWS Online - Three ministers and one deputy minister were scheduled to attend the Gala Dinner on the eve of the 60th anniversary of ADIA / IAIN / UIN Jakarta in Harun Nasution Auditorium on Thursday (5/25).  At the same place, there will also be a number of diplomats from friendly countries, such as Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, United States, and Pakistan.

The three ministers who will attend are Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indarparawansa. The deputy minister who will attend the event is Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdurrahman Muhammad Fachir.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani will provide a scientific oration on Sharia Economic Strengthening in National Development Capacity, while Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdurrahman Muhammad Fachir, as UIN Jakarta alumni representative, will talk about Alumni Perspective in welcoming UIN Jakarta Becoming Legal State University. On the occasion, UIN Jakarta will also sign the cooperation draft with the Minister of Social Affairs in the field of social development.

There will be also announcement of the winners of the competitions, performances from cultural arts, and awards for outstanding employees.

Chairman of the Committee Prof Dr Arief Soemantri said the Gala Dinner will be held as the closing event of the 60th anniversary of ADIA / IAIN / UIN Jakarta which runs start from April to May 2017. In the anniversary series of activities were filled with national and international seminars, Social Services in Cikuya Village, Tangerang Banten, healthy walking movement which was held on UIN Jakarta campus, various competitions, and selection of outstanding employees in UIN Jakarta.

"We hope these series of activities are not just yearly ceremonial activities, but rather a reflection and evaluation of the performance achievements accomplished by UIN Jakarta during its 60 years journeys. For the coming future, various achievements must be maintained and even continued to be developed.
